I tried these and it was delightfully yummy!
I noticed some tips along the way that may help:
> For the strips; I found depending on the size of the apples, the size of an inch might be too big on the apple piece. I made the strip small to half-size and the portion was better.
> Also; the apples should be done at the last minute and when rolling the apples, it can be placed as soon as possible into the oven so to avoid browned apples!
> For the crust; if you desire fresh flour, I made the pie crust from scratch and easy level: just 1 cup flour with 1tsp.sugar & 1tsp.salt, mixed up. Add cold butter cubes crumbled into flour (1/2 cup). Mix in cold water just to mix with dough-like disc. Chill dough for 20min. and ready to roll out onto the surface like a pizza shape!
> For oven; I find the temperature too hot perhaps at 425 so next time I'm going to try a lower temperature.
> I also wonder if anybody find the oven temperatures difficult to bake through the dough throughly without under-baked with softlike in the middle?
Thank you!

Melissa

Thanks for the extra tips! Definitely will be using some of these next time!
